Launceston Kadampa Meditation Classes – Autumn Term.

“How to Transform Your Life”

Learning to nurture postive minds and abandon our negative minds is the essence of meditation. If our mind is peaceful then we will be happy. Normally when we are unhappy we look to change our external conditions, we have been trying to get everything just right in our lives, so we can relax and be happy, since the moment we were born and we are still trying now.

Buddha explains, however that the real method to transform our life is to change our mind and develop a stable experience of inner peace that allows us to accept life’s challenges without developing our usual stresses, irritation and anxieties….and then we will be better able to help those around us as well.

In these classes we will explore some of these special methods to transform our minds and change our lives for good.

These classes will be drawn from a new book by meditation master Geshe Kelsang Gyatso “How to Transform Your Life” which can be downloaded for free from here:

​These classes include a talk and guided meditations designed to help everyone find greater inner peace, joy and well being in their lives. Through practical experience we will discover that meditation is much more than simply sitting on a meditation cushion (or chair) in peaceful meditation. We will see how meditation is also a highly practical approach to how we live our life throughout the day that leads to greater peace, mental and physical well being and happiness. Each course covers a particular theme and teaches proven practical methods to:

• become more aware and present in the moment
• experience more clarity and peace in every moment
• relax your body and mind
• be free from worry and stress
• find a deeper joy and inner strength
• create harmonious relationships

Classes run on a drop-in basis so come along any week you like. No previous experience necessary. Everyone welcome.

Practical instructions and helpful advice on how to meditate, gain strength of mind and lead a more peaceful and positive life. Each class begins with breathing meditation, is followed by a talk, discussion with tea and biscuits, and finishes with a guided meditation on the week’s topic. No previous experience necessary.
