Coronation Park

Lorna Denney is overseeing the creation of a new wildlife garden on the edge of Coronation Park for the use of local residents and for the encouragement of wildlife in the area.

With the help of Cornwall Council she has been given permission to turn the area into a wildlife haven that can be visited by all.

Stage one of the garden plan will be to clear some of the brush and paths around the area and prepare part of the area for sowing wild flower seeds. A shallow pond is to be dug too.

Lorna is looking for volunteers to help with the project and hopes you can join her to make the area usable for the local residents again.

Tools will be provided but please feel free to bring your own equipment.
Please also dress appropriately and wear thick clothes and bring gloves and goggles if needed.

We are to meet at the leisure centre entrance but if you can’t make it for 9:00am feel free to join us later.
